Fearing that no live pictures could be transmitted from the first moon landing, President Nixon allegedly asked filmmaker Stanley Kubrick - whose 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (1968) had provided much inspiration - to film the scenes in a studio! In return, Kubrick would get a special NASA lens for BARRY LYNDON (1975). Interesting, even intriguing weaving of fact and fiction, worth watching for film buffs. Also known as DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.
