Heinous lawyer Carrey (divorced) keeps disappointing his little five-year-old son Cooper, until the boy's birthday wish forces him magically to say the truth for 24 hours, which gets Carrey in some precarious situations and ultimately makes him realize what a bad father he is. Carrey overacts, has some funny bits, but script is contrived and has a false, false, false Hollywood ending.
