A hobby archaeologist unearths a strange skull in a farmyard, and it turns out that it might belong to a legendary worm, which was battled by nobleman Grant's ancestors. Meanwhile, mysterious snake woman Oxenberg has arrived at her estate nearby. Adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel is unfortunately pretentious, especially some of the performances. The rear-projection effects are bloody but unconvicing. A minor Russell film.
