Crime thriller about charismatic assassin Duke Togo aka Golgo 13, who goes after a drug syndicate in Japan, Hong Kong and Macao. Some stylish directorial touches, but terribly uneven plot, though Chiba makes all the difference as quiet but tense, super-cool killer. He would have made a formidable Bond villain at the time. Based on a comic by Takao Saitô, this is a sequel to GOLGO 13 (1973) and was followed by the animated THE PROFESSIONAL: GOLGO 13 (1983). Also known as THE KOWLOON ASSIGNMENT.
