Depressing drama about London architect Law, whose company's headquarters are constantly burglarized. He follows one of the (teenage) thieves home one day and makes the acquaintance of his mother, a Bosnian immigrant. His own daughter with Penn is in the early stages of autism. A drama with good intentions, but it's difficult (and pointless) to watch so much misery (there's not a single identifiable character). Deadening. Written by director Minghella (THE ENGLISH PATIENT).
