Sequel to the 1942 Disney classic forgets the ending of the original and takes off where the deer is left alone with his father, the great prince of the forest. The stag (voiced by Stewart) is looking for someone to raise his son, while Bambi is waking up to the adventures of the world around him. Many memorable characters return in this spin-off. The animation - lovingly designed, with the original in mind - compensates for modest plotting.
