Animated epic about situation leading up to major crisis between U.S.A. and Russia and the ensueing nuclear war that will destroy the Earth. Muddled script revels in battle details without making a point and neglects characterization entirely. Worth a look perhaps - for war fanatics - but effect of this two-hour film is numbing. Animation is only so-so.
