Trivial but not uninteresting thriller about American agent Taube, who arrives in Amsterdam to investigate several killings and bust drug syndicate. Some period flavor, interesting title gimmick in this low-grade James Bond clone (Sheybal had been the villain in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE). The speedboat race through Amsterdam, the action 'highlight', was directed by Don Sharp, who also cowrote the script, based on the novel by Alistair MacLean. Interestingly, Bond would also pay a visit to Amsterdam in DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971).
