Russ Meyer was one of the first sex film directors. In fact, with THE IMMORAL MR. TEAS he made what is considered today the first modern skin-flick. He worked on more than twenty movies in his career, some of which have acquired cult status. His best films are not those with full frontal nudity, but those films which have something to say (read: those with a discernible plot). Meyer showed his talent already in his early films. Most of the times he also shot, edited and wrote his films. Techincally speaking, Meyer was best at editing. His best film may be MUDHONEY. Similar in theme and as enjoyable is FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL, KILL! I also highly recommed BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS.
