David Lynch is a cutting edge filmmaker that put himself on the map with his first feature film, the brooding horror drama ERASERHEAD (1977). His spectrum ranges from soft-spoken dramas like THE ELEPHANT MAN (1980) and THE STRAIGHT STORY (1999) to surreal mysteries like TWIN PEAKS (the series and the film) and MULHOLLAND DR. Lynch is an unpredictable director that is much admired by critics and cineastes. The filmography below omits some of Lynch's less important work for television.
