René Clément is notable for his anti-war films and thriller dramas of the 1950s and 1960s. Fascinating latter-day films of his are PLEIN SOLEIL (1960, remade as THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY in 1999), LES FELINS (1964) and LE PASSENGER DE LA PLUIE (1969).
