Clive Barker (*1952)

From the start of his career as a horror novelist, Clive Barker has been involved with movies. In the 1980s he produced several screenplays for horror movies, directing his first feature in 1987, the highly acclaimed HELLRAISER. In 1995 he directed his second feature film, the fantastic LORD OF ILLUSIONS. Ever since he has appeared in countless documentaries, worked for TV, and even written video games (UNDYING, DEMONIK). Whether he will return to directing is uncertain: TORTURED SOULS, a film based on his own novella has been postponed again and again.
