Sequel to THE PINK PANTHER STRIKES BACK (1976) provides more of the same humor, as chief inspector Clouseau is thought dead but goes after the killers and a crime syndicate in various funny disguises. Meanwhile, inspector Lom is trying to figure out whether his nemesis has really died. Script is muddled but good slapstick scenes, funny set-pieces make this memorable. Seller's last film as Clouseau, he was posthumously edited into the follow-up films TRAIL OF THE PINK PANTHER (1982) and CURSE OF THE PINK PANTHER (1983).
