Nicely subdued romantic drama about composer Hoffman, who is on the brink of losing his job and travels to his estranged daughter's wedding in London. He chances to meet spinster Thompson and they spark a romance. Refreshingly normal, without contrivances (if you can accept a Hoffman/Thompson romance), and fine performances by its stars. Written by the director.
