Aimless 15-year-old Dano, who has lost his mother to an accident on the Long Island Expressway (the L.I.E. of the title), starts hanging out with a teen who sells his body to gays and ultimately gets involved with elderly pedophile Cox. Daring subject matter, well-acted and convincingly brought to the screen, although Dano's story is unrelentingly depressing. Cowritten by the director.
