Starring Nicolas Cage, Ellen Burstyn, Kate Beahan, Frances Conroy, Molly Parker, Leelee Sobieski, Diane Delano, Aaron Eckhart, James Franco. Not-bad remake of the British cult classic about policeman Cage, who is asked by former lover Beahan to investigate disappearance of her child in a remote island community. His welcome there is not a warm one. Can't hold a candle to the original, but as a mystery this is still quite engrossing, with a good performance by Cage and a fine score by Angelo Badalamenti.
