During the title credits we see the rape and murder of a young school teacher by the hands of her delinquent students. Police inspector Capponi questions them one by one, but everyone pretends to be innocent or a bystander. Can he clear up their motivations? Mixture of crime and police movie, with social commentary, is uneven and talky, but not without interest. Unsettling climax best part.
