Sort-of biography of the creator of Peter Pan, writer J.M. Barrie (played by Depp). In turn-of-the-century London, the poet lives in a unhappy marriage and finds himself drawn to single mother Winslet, whose four sons ultimately provide the inspiration for Barrie's best-known work. Good performances, but Barrie's motivations are superficially dealt with only, and the emotional impact is muted. Based on a play by Allan Knee. Oscar-winner for Best Score.
