Effective horror film with a sense of humor. Sarandon witnesses his new neighbor making love to a woman who is dead the following morning. It seems a vampire has bought the house next door! Will old TV actor McDowell help? Nice updating of the old DRACULA story, with a sense of humor and a pair of terrific performances by Sarandon and McDowell. Good fun, with fine effects. Followed by a sequel in 1989.
